a2b Fulfillment, a third-party logistics provider with a specialty in consumer-direct order fulfillment and customer service, announces the purchase of Orchard Brands’ Haband Division warehouse facility on S. Forest Street in Eatonton, GA.
“The acquisition of this additional 210,000 square feet of warehouse space is necessary to accommodate our fast-growing business” explained Ayal Latz, President of a2b. “We have nearly filled up our 180,000 square feet of space in Greensboro and continue to grow.” added Latz. “We now offer over 400,000 square feet of space in three facilities in the US and Canada.
The expansion is more than just about expanded warehouse space. Latz elaborated, “The second location enables us to provide more services to our customers. For example, with more space we can handle, store and stage larger retail orders. This is a growing segment of our business. For more complex e-commerce clients, we can accommodate higher numbers of SKUs as the facility is equipped with racking to a support over 30,000 unique items. Additionally, we can designate more space in our Greensboro facility for our growing customer service call center, climate contolled storage and returns processing.
Roddie Anne Blackwell, President, Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce and Project Manager, Putnam Development Authority welcomes the arrival of a2b. “We have heard a lot about a2b Fulfillment. In 2011 they were honored as Greene County’s Large Business of the Year. They have done very well creating nearly 100 jobs in Greene County over the past 10 years. We look forward to watching and helping them to grow in Putnam County” commented Blackwell. .
