a2b Partners with CEO’s Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank

a2b Fulfillment, a national third-party provider of order fulfillment, customer care and value-added services, announced the opening of a new fulfilment center in Hanover Township on March 14, 2022. a2b’s new 260,089-square-foot facility will serve as its base of operations for the Northeastern United States.

As part of a week-long onboarding process for approximately 50 of its new team members, employees got some first-hand experience on company culture. A big component of the cultural belief for a2b is to not only make an impact on the local economy but to go a step further in making a direct impact in the communities in which they serve.

During onboarding week, team a2b went to CEO’s Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank to serve as volunteers. Housed within the Monsignor Andrew J. McGowan Center for Healthy Living, the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank services charitable organizations by providing food to alleviate hunger and promote proper nutrition, particularly among children and the elderly. a2b was able to assist with kitting 19 pallets of food to be distributed directly to the local community. Since opening mid-March, a2b has been able to send groups of employees to CEO to volunteer on three other occasions as well and hopes to make this a lasting partnership.

“This was an amazing opportunity for our employees to help the local community,” explains Charity Burnette, Vice President of Human Resources for a2b Fulfillment. “It was a joy to watch how much our employees loved the opportunity to help others in their community.  I was very impressed with the spirit of giving from this group of people.”

a2b Fulfillment was started in Athens, Ga. by Ayal Latz in 2001 and specializes in complex order fulfillment to both consumer-direct and retail channels.  With facilities in GA, SC, UT, PA, and Canada, a2b’s footprint now exceeds over one-million square feet of warehouse space and is positioned to provide a multi-node fulfillment solution resulting in 2-day or less shipping to over 94% of US households.  The company also offers live-agent Customer Care, 7 days per week, from its contact centers located in Greensboro, Ga. and Ogden, UT.

“We have partnered with our local food bank, Second Harvest, in Georgia for over ten years,” explains Ayal Latz, President and Owner of a2b Fulfillment. “So, we felt like we could really leverage this opportunity of opening a new location to help introduce our employees to these cultural beliefs but also really do something good for this new community in which we will be operating.”

“a2b Fulfillment should be commended for their commitment to the community. As a new company in the area, they lost no time in seeking out partners for community investment,” said Gene Brady, Executive Director of CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank.  “a2b employees have packed thousands of food boxes which help seniors meet their most basic need for food. We are grateful for this new partnership.”
