COVID-19

What a2b Fulfillment is doing to ensure the safety of its staff while delivering on expectations of customers.

a2b Fulfillment is considered an essential business, per federal guidelines. This means that we have been allowed to continue operations even when state restrictions have been in place.

a2b Fulfillment understands that these uncertain times can cause concern for our Clients, and especially those responsible for day-to-day operations. Since March 2020, a2b has worked diligently to maintain a safe and sanitized environment across all of our facilities in Georgia, South Carolina and Utah. We have expanded our operating days to 6 and 7 days a week to ensure that we continue to meet the ever-growing demand.

Below are a few of the steps that we are taking to ensure safety within our workplace.

PERSONAL HYGIENE AND PPE

a2b is distributing protective equipment such as hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, face shields and disinfectant products to all employees, and communicating best practices to prevent the spread of the illness. We require our team members to wash their hands regularly and avoid touching their mouth, eyes, or nose. To reinforce the washing of hands, we have implemented mandatory hand washing breaks. Hand sanitizing stations are spread throughout the facilities to ensure quick accessibility. All Employees undergo a daily health screening, to ensure no one is symptomatic of COVID illnesses. Anyone displaying symptoms is immediately referred to a local physician.

INCREASED CLEANING

We have increased the frequency of routine cleaning and disinfection of all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, doorknobs, and restrooms. We are providing employees with disposable wipes and gloves, so that commonly used surfaces can be wiped down before each use. Additional cleaning shifts have been added to further support our operations and mandatory cleaning logs have been put in place.

STAY-AT-HOME PRECAUTIONS

We are enforcing with all employees that if they have symptoms of acute respiratory illness, they must stay home and not return until all symptoms have been absent for at least 48 hours, without the aid of fever-reducing or symptom-altering medicines. Employees are allowed to voluntarily self-quarantine if they feel like they are at risk or have been exposed.

RESTRICTED TRAVEL

We’ve restricted travel for all employees between warehouses and are providing virtual tours as needed for clients and prospective clients during this time. Warehouse access is restricted only to associates who are tasked with processing orders. No Customer Support, IT (unless needed), Administrative Support, or Non-essential employees are working onsite.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

All Employees and workstations are set up to allow 6ft of distance between each team member. Public spaces have limited seating and tables include protective barriers where more than one individual is present. Outdoor seating has been added where possible for employees that are on break.

INBOUND QUARANTINE

LTL and small parcel shipments are quarantined for 24 hours. Employees remove plastic wrap with correct PPE before handling.

NETWORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE

a2b fulfillment utilizes the cloud and has several locations throughout the US to facilitate order processing, should any one location be down for any period of time. This gives our clients peace of mind in knowing that there is redundancy in our operation.
